Teresa Ortega

I am from Torrance, CA and I am majoring as a Radiology Technician. I am hoping to transfer to a four year college so that I can learn to be a ultrasound technician. I will be a  first generation Chicana in my family to graduate and I am very proud of that. Art is a passion of mines, and that is why I chose to do the DIY. I have always loved to draw and create things. The logo was all hand drawn by me and so was the art in the DIY.

I am from Long Beach, CA and I am majoring in communications. In my free time I like to read, ride my bike and do DIYs. History has always been one of my favorite subjects which is why I decided to do the cartoon propaganda section of this website. I like how we can mix history with art to further explain the past and to draw interest.

Kimberly Valdez

I use to live in Downey, CA, but I now live in Lawndale, CA. I’m majoring animation and that is my dream. Also, to make everyone happy with my creations. Besides school, I love to spend time with art and thinking of new ideas everyday. I like to go on walks, listening to music, and read interesting stories.

Maggie Philipopoulos

I live in Redondo Beach, CA and am majoring in communication studies. I am hoping to transfer next spring and major in communication disorders. With that degree I would like to become a Speech Language Pathologist and work with kids who have speech disorders and who are hearing impaired.

If I could travel back in time I would go to the 70s. I love music and specifically art from the 1970s so this has been an exciting project for me to work on.
